The following will be found on this blog: cats, food, OFF (game), Borderlands 1/2, anything video game related really, music, and other junk. Also ships. Mainly Axzer0, Jaxton, and Batterie if I do reblog shippy stuff.
AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I LEARN THAT IT WAS A SUIT AND NOT A PUPPET/CGI
It was all the above technically. The suit was used (as said in the video) for the Raptors in the Kitchen scene with a half-suit that was used for close up shots of the feet walking (which was reskinned for Jurassic Park 3). The animatronic was used for close up shots of the raptor’s head and limbs where the raptor was stationary elsewhere in the movie (mainly the first reveal of a raptor in the maintenance shed), and CGI was used for medium-to-long shots of the full raptors.
They used more animatronics for the raptors in the other two Jurassic Park movies than in the first one though. In large part because there’s a total of about seven minutes of footage with visible raptors in the first movie and about half of that time was the Raptors in the Kitchen scene.
I wish I could wander around a convention in a fucking raptor suit.
This trailer shows the RE6 mode The Mercenaries: No Mercy, which pits Coach, Ellis, Nick and Rochelle against Resident Evil enemies, plus brings in the Witch and Mini-Tank from L4D2. This mode and the L4D2 characters and monsters are included for free in the PC version of Resident Evil 6.
When you are done watching the video, make sure to get to work on your Resident Evil 6 character for the L4D2 workshop or if modeling isn’t your thing – sit back and wait for the Resident Evil characters and creatures to invade L4D2 next month.
